Workshops

Workshops are important for the Dehcho First Nation community, especially for younger members; the next generation of leaders. We share in the responsibility to encourage and interest them in continuing their education. It is also meaningful to inspire them to be involved in the land claim and self-government processes.

In February 9 – 11 2016 students from Fort Providence and Fort Simpson attended a strategic and tactical planning workshop on the Dehcho Process in Fort Simpson. In addition individual youth attended along with the member organizations of each Dehcho community. Observation of the workshop and a presentation from the students about their conclusions of the Dehcho Process helped them to understand a little more about the community they are a part of and its efforts.
